Resource Specialist Invitation

Praise Is The Cure® invites you to participate as a Resource Specialist during our Week of Hope, Health & Healing 2026, a community-wide initiative dedicated to breast health education, early detection, and compassionate support for families across the region.

Praise Is The Cure® is a community-based nonprofit committed to eliminating breast cancer disparities among Black women through education, early detection, and supportive services. Founded by the late Anita T. Conner and her daughter, the late Kerri Conner Matchett, whose lives were marked by extraordinary courage in their battles with breast cancer, Praise Is The Cure was created so that no woman or family would face this disease without knowledge, support, or access to care.

Today, Praise Is The Cure® continues its legacy by providing free breast health education, screenings, and community programs throughout the region — under the leadership of John Conner, devoted husband and father, and the steward of Anita and Kerri's legacy. John is committed to advancing the mission they built, ensuring that families across the region continue to receive life-saving breast health education, screenings, and support.

As a valued community partner committed to health education and wellness, we invite you to join us as a Resource Specialist at one or more of our signature events on:

Our 2026 activities will include:

• Survivors' Pamper Party
• Mammogram Screenings
• Men's Health Forum
• Community Health Fair
• Gospel Concert

As a Resource Specialist, your organization will have an opportunity to:

• Share educational materials
• Provide health information or demonstrations
• Engage directly with survivors, patients, caregivers, and families
• Support community health and wellness

We anticipate welcoming at least 70 breast cancer patients and survivors to the Survivors' Pamper Party and at least 50 men to the Men's Health Forum. Our Community Health Fair will bring together additional individuals and families seeking screenings, health information, wellness services, and trusted community resources.

If your organization is unable to participate in person, you can still support this year's initiative by providing educational materials for inclusion in our guest gift bags. We request 300 copies of any materials you would like distributed.
