About Us
Who We Are
Praise Is The Cure® (PITC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that launched in 2005 as a breast cancer awareness initiative to bring valuable information and supportive services to the Black community.
Our Story
PITC was founded by Anita Conner, a twenty-year breast cancer survivor, along with her daughter Kerri, a ten-year survivor. Their personal journeys fueled a mission to ensure that no one in the Black community faces this disease alone or uninformed.
The vision is to ensure that all Black women and men have access to awareness, intervention, and prevention resources. PITC is a pillar of hope and inspiration for individuals in the Black community battling this disease.
With continued outreach and awareness efforts, PITC has annually impacted at least 45,000 members of the community through events, education, screenings, support services, and advocacy.

Fact: Men can get breast cancer too. Awareness matters for everyone.
Our Mission
The mission of Praise Is The Cure is to eliminate breast cancer disparities among Black women by providing education; access to mammograms and other screenings and treatments; and support for patients, survivors and their families.
Our Vision
